So a Supes fan and a Bats fan walk into a bar…
Posted by Scott Nap under: Announcements .
Oh! I’m sorry; I didn’t see you there! Welcome, gentle reader/viewer/general true believer, to another installment of “Issues Production Blog”….
Wait, this is the first entry? Shoot. I knew I was looking off of the wrong script…
So you’ve stumbled across our little corner of cyberspace- thanks for joining us in this adventure. No, seriously, please, stick around. Half of the fun of watching a web series is trying to figure out how the crew pulled it off under budget. This blog will, over the course of the next few months, serve as the main location to watch this step-by-step process.
Want to see audition tapes from the casting process? You got it. Behind the scenes while the crew sets up (curses and all)? Consider it done. And you can bet your sweet bippy (whatever that is) that there will be plenty of outtakes and gags behind the camera AND in front of it.
The battle cry thus far in development has been ‘Young and hungry’. Issues was developed by Scott Nap, a NJ filmmaker who was tired of strikes and bad management and as such, developed this series to gain control. Translation: he was mad as hell, and he wasn’t going to take it anymore! So he donned a cape, a mask, did some push ups, filled up the gas tank in his car and became an avenger of comic book fans everywhere!…but since there aren’t many super-villains in suburban NJ and the thought of tights made him want to scream, he wrote this script and here we are.
In all seriousness, Issues is a few weeks from primary production at Comic Relief in Lawrenceville, NJ and everyone is thrilled with the progress so far. Expect to see all kinds of hilarity, mishaps and drama…oh, and you can get that in the actual episodes too!
Hang with us, fellow “bookies”!

Sounds like this’ll be a MOST intriguing project; it’s nice to be a part of it. A special ‘thank you’ to Scott who had the foresight to cast me in the role of ‘Bobby’..
